UPDATE ON MUM

Saturday 9 February 2008 Mum looked poorly this afternoon. She was unable to smile or make conversation and merely stared ahead without looking at anything. She had difficulty in making known that she was thirsty and displayed no lasting interest in her visitors though she did manage to make known that her right heel was sore. This was subsequently bandaged by a nurse to protect it. She is however comfortable and indicated that she is being treated OK.
Mum has oromorph prescribed four time a day to relax her so this could be the cause of her detachment regarding her surroundings, visitors etc. and non-communicstion.
