SHORTEST DAY + 1

Today it is dull and raining and I can’t see the hills for low cloud and mist. But because we are now past the shortest day the day feels GREAT!
I shouted to my eighty-five-ish year old neighbour, “Spring in the air!!!!!”
He replied morosely, “I wish I could”
